A new Cooperation was held between BCFE and Ain Shams Specialized Hospital to launch a new campaign about Breast Cancer Awareness and early detection.
Breast Cancer Foundation of Egypt and Ain Shamr Specialized Hospital launched a joint campaign to raise awareness about breast cancer for their female employees. Dr. Mohamed Shaalan , BCFE Chairperson , Dr. Mohamed Helmy Al Ghor , Hospital Ain Shams Specialized Hospital Director, Dr. Hesham Wagdy , Surgery Department Director of the hospital, Dr. Khaled Allam X- Rays Department Director attended the opening of the campaign. Dr. Mohamed Shaalan spoke about the importance of cooperation between medical institutions and health care associations in order to unify the efforts to take actions for fighting breast cancer.
Dr. Helmy Al Ghor also noted that cooperation between the Ain Shams Specialized Hospital and BCFE is considered to be the best achievement over the past five years in the hospital. Also he stressed on the importance of the women from the age of 40 to start doing her Mammogram once a year.
"I advise all breast cancer patients to adapt with the changes that accompany the treatment especially chemotherapy and try to turn the negative energy to positive energy to help them overcome this period for themselves and their friends and family" .. The cooperation between the two sides will extend not only to raise awareness and early detection but will include the provision of rehabilitation services for breast cancer patients at the hospital oncology department
