The Breast Cancer Foundation of Egypt (BCFE) held a press conference to launch the "Pink Path" animation film on Saturday, January 31, 2015. The press conferernce was hoste by the Cairo Marriott Hotel and Omar Khayyam Casino.
Dr. Mohamed Shaalan said this launching comes as part of the partnership BCFE has with Susan G. Komen, the largest organization fighting breast cancer worldwide. This animation film is the first of its kind in the Middle East to raise awareness of breast cancer. It brings hope to women that breast cancer can cured if discovered early.
The event was attended by Dr. Ghada Wali, Minister of Social Solidarity, Dr. Naglaa Abdel Razek, General Manager of the Ministry of Health's National Women's Health Program on behalf of Dr. Adel El Adawy, Minister of Health, Dr. Safaa El-Baz, Director of the Regional Centre for Training in the Family Planning and Reproductive Health and representing Ambassador. Mervat El-Tallawi, Chair of National Women Council, and Dr. Mohamed SHaalan, Director of Prevention and Early Detection Unit at the National Cancer Institute and BCFE Chairman.
The event was also attended by doctors specialized in breast cancer treatment, women's rights activists, breast cancer survivors and media personalities.
