Under the auspices of Mr. Essam Al-Amir, Head of the Egyptian Radio and Television Union (ERTU), and Dr. Mohsen Nouman, General Director of ERTU, BCFE held a seminar on Monday, January 19, for ERTU employees. The seminar titled "Breast cancer… a disease that can be cured" discussed the many aspects of breast cancer in Egypt. This includes risk factors, misconceptions, healthy diet after diagnosis and the best practices for treatment.
The seminar included lectures presented by Dr. Mohamed Shaalan, Professor of Surgical Oncology, Director of the NCI's Prevention and Early Detection Unit and BCFE Chairman, and Dr. Tarek Hashem, Consultant of Oncology at the NCI.
